Synopsis

In a coastal village, Izzie, an anxious teenager confronts his recurring nightmare by navigating a day of challenges with his brothers, leading to a family gathering where he must overcome his fear and imparts ancestral knowledge to the newest member.

Director’s Bio

Dahnu Leaf Graham is an accomplished director, passionate writer, and talented actor of Ngāpuhi - Te Aupōuri (Iwi) heritage. With over a decade of experience in the film industry, Dahnu has honed his directing skills under the guidance of renowned directors in New Zealand, gaining invaluable expertise and insight.

In addition to his directing skills, Dahnu actively contributes to reshaping Maori stories in theatre, TV, and film, contributing to the cultural landscape of Aotearoa. Drawing on his background in physical theatre, he has had the privilege of showcasing his skills internationally, working alongside local crews in foreign countries during the production of 'The Arrival.’ He embraces the challenge of cross-cultural collaboration, fostering meaningful connections with fellow creatives from diverse backgrounds.

With a humble commitment to authentic storytelling and cultural representation, Dahnu continues to inspire and resonate with audiences.
