Synopsis
In rural New Zealand, a fifteen-year-old girl fights to keep her place among the pack of boys she has grown up with. As day turns to night, she falls into a power game with the pack's alpha - but it is the wrestle within herself that proves to be her hardest challenge.

Director’s Bio
Lucy Suess is an award-winning New Zealand-American filmmaker based in New York City. With NZFC funding and support, Lucy has produced two shorts and is developing her feature. Her shorts, Shadow Cut and Pack Rat, have screened at leading festivals around the world, including Toronto and Melbourne International Film Festivals, Atlanta and New Orleans Film Festivals and Tallinn Black Nights, earning awards in Directing, Screenwriting, Cinematography and Acting. Her films have been taught at universities and high schools across Australia and Aotearoa. Lucy’s debut feature, Needles Inn, was mentored by Dame Gaylene Preston and selected for MIFF’s Accelerator Lab.
