Synopsis
In this ode to ecosexuality we enter one woman’s personal Eden, where the boundaries between time and space collapse and the language of plants and flowers is felt.
Director’s Bio
Kate Vinen is an award-winning filmmaker whose work lingers in the space between the seen and unseen, weaving restrained yet visceral images that illuminate interior and otherworldly realms. A graduate of AFTRS, her lyrical short Acts for the Invisible (2021) premiered at the Sydney Film Festival and went on to win the CILECT CAPA Best Documentary. Her short drama Hopeful Romantic (2022) premiered at Flickerfest, receiving five awards including Best Film at Australian Women's Film Festival. She is an alumni of the 2022 Adelaide Film Festival Expand Lab and Playlab Films Creators Lab, directing Mitayero in the Peruvian Amazon under the guidance of Apichatpong Weerasethakul.
