Synopsis
Night Waves is about a man, Nero, who in his last desperate moments decides to call the girl on the radio. It’s 3AM and Regina is hosting the graveyard shift on the local student radio station. When Nero calls in she is surprised, as people never call this late, but she has no idea the emotional limits this total stranger is about to push her to.
Director’s Bio
River Evans is an independent filmmaker from New Zealand.
He acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Film and English Literature from Victoria University in Wellington, spending his third year of study abroad in Italy, where he studied Italian film history and theatre traditions.
He aspires to make short and feature films that mix action, drama and psychological elements, while always striving to keep a strong sense of reality in his stories. To achieve this he draws deeply from personal experience and employs social realist techniques.
This is his first film to have a physical screening on the international stage.
