At the edge of the Australian continent, artist Brett Weir paints in a glass studio overlooking the sea — where weather, solitude, and memory give form to his art.
Director’s Bio
Dominik Gehring (*1979, CH/DE) is an artist and filmmaker based in Zurich.
He studied Video at the Lucerne School of Art and Design (HSLU).
His work searches for images and scenes that resonate on a deeper perceptual level, assembling them into subtly poetic, essay-like compositions.
These emerge as films, installations, stills, and soundscapes, offering viewers a broadened sense of reality.
His video works have been presented at venues and festivals including Centre Pompidou Paris, Museo Reina Sofía Madrid, Vision du Réel Nyon, Images Vevey, Kirchner Museum Davos, Zurich Film Festival, Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, and VideoEx Zurich.
