Synopsis

1979. As volatile protests for Croatian independence break out across the city of Sydney, Croatian-born Marina is forced to expose a secretive love affair with her Australian boyfriend, as an escalating political storm spills into her childhood home with devastating consequences.

Director’s Bio

Damian Walshe-Howling won the prestigious International Lexus Short Film Series and was awarded close to half a million dollars to write and direct his third short film Messiah starring David Gulpilil and Stephen Hunter. Damian has written and directed his 4th short film Unspoken and has been working as a Writer/Director with production company Guilty Content as well as developing a number of his own independent Film and TV projects.
