Synopsis

The Road to Patagonia follows Australian surfer Matty Hannon’s 50,000km journey from Alaska to Patagonia, evolving from a solo surf odyssey into a shared adventure with permaculture farmer Heather Hillier. Sixteen years in the making, it’s a love story and a reflection on our connection to the Earth.

Director’s Bio

Matty Hannon is an award-winning filmmaker whose work spans six continents, often in some of the world’s most challenging environments. With a background in Ecology and conservation, he brings a deep connection to nature and culture into his storytelling. The Road to Patagonia is his debut feature documentary.
