Fired from her real estate job, Red pursues her dream of becoming the world's greatest Dolly Parton impersonator. When her act attracts the attention of an amorous Elvis impersonator and a powerful booking agent, she soon gets catapulted into the top tier of copycat performers, becoming the onstage and romantic partner of the top Kenny Rogers impersonator.

Director’s Bio

Gracie is an accomplished Australian screen director, having made three feature films and directed many hours of premium television. SERIOUSLY RED is Gracie’s debut narrative feature starring Krew Boylan, Rose Byrne, Daniel Webber, Celeste Barber and Bobby Cannavale and had its world premiere at SxSW Festival 2022 where it screened in official competition.

Leo's got something important to discuss with his 8-year-old daughter: he's got a brain tumour. But when Luna hears 'brain tuna' her big imagination takes them both on an fantastical detour. Leo must embrace Luna's fantastical worlds and use them, if not to make her understand entirely, at least to find strength in the face of his diagnosis.

Director’s Bio

Aaron Lucas is a Jewish Australian filmmaker of German descent based in Sydney. His short film, Luna And The Brain Tuna will be the fourth film he has screened at DUFF. His previous films include Free Therapy (2019), Mary (2023), and his animated documentary I’ll Be Frank (2022). The latter won First Prize in the Hearts, Minds, & Souls Award at Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival 2022, and was nominated for Best Documentary/Factual Single at the Australian International Documentary Conference 2023, before screening on SBS, a national broadcaster in Australia.
